Hiring: Electrical Maintenance & Testing, Field Services Technician - Pacific NW

    Position:

Electrical Maintenance & Testing, Field Services Technician Pacific Northwest, (Oregon / Washington)

    Description:

Established in 2005, PDM has provided electrical maintenance and testing services to companies across the entire United States. It is our mission to excel in the electrical maintenance industry by providing quality workmanship and superior customer service.

Field service technicians are responsible for providing preventative maintenance, warranty, and repair services on electrical systems at the customers' location. You will need to be able to work as a team as well as work on your own.

We are looking for proactive employees who want to join a small company and help it grow. You will not just be an employee at PDM. You will be part of a team that is committed to continually improving the field we are in by innovating new ideas and providing a positive example to others.

We are looking for experienced personnel to add to our quickly growing business. We are primarily searching for someone who has the potential to learn all skills that we have to offer, although a foundation of electrical or mechanical skills are a benefit. There is significant room for growth and training at our company!

Although the primary territory will be the Northwest, (Oregon & Washington), we do travel all over the United States and this position requires significant travel. We do not place employees in a location for more than 4 weeks at a time unless they volunteer. (Most jobs are between 1-3 weeks), and there are significant travel perks and flexibility in scheduling and vacation. This position is not your normal 9 to 5, 40-hour work week. There are many opportunities to travel to new places for cheap/free once your work scope is completed.

    Required Skill Set:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Valid Driver's License
    • Ability to pass a drug test at all times
    • Ability to pass background checks for government or private secure facilities
    • Physically fit enough to lift up to 50 lbs, carry equipment, kneel, climb, and walk long distances if needed.
    • Basic computer skills that include email, Microsoft Excel and Word, Adobe Reader, Dropbox, etc.

    Preferred Skills:

Do not let the following list of preferred skills and experience dissuade you from applying for this position. PDM has proven that you do not need an "electrical background" to be successful in this industry.

What you need is the willingness to learn and a work ethic that includes being proactive, team-oriented, and self-motivated to go above and beyond the standards set for you. Although we do see skills and experience as a bonus when hiring someone, we are really looking for that "it" factor.

    • Military or Previous Field-Testing Experience
    • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree
    • Master Electrician's License
    • NETA Tech Certification
    • Advanced Computer skills
    • Relay Testing Experience
    • Familiarity with multiple types of electrical testing equipment and procedures
    • Personnel Leadership
    • Project Management

    How to Apply:

To Apply, please reach out to our company at the PDM WEBSITE, or e-mail us directly at Taylor@pdmllc.com or Brent.Spink@pdmllc.com.
