    Upon completion of a 360 degree RIC Test, the inductance is higher at the end of the

    Upon completion of a 360 degree RIC Test, the inductance is higher at the end of the test than at the beginning of the test. What is the most likely cause?

    The rotor is eccentric

    Softfoot

    Corrupted data due to residual magnetism in the core

    Rotor defects

    Tough question. I think all the above can cause increased inductance after a Rotor Influence Check (RIC) test. I would say the the most likely cause are Rotor Defects, since it affects the air gap the greatest, but the all of the above would be the most likely cause based on severity.

    Yeah I didnt like this one, after trying to search for an answer I was even more confused. I didn't find much literature on it.

    the correct answer was "Corrupted data due to residual magnetism in the core"
