    VCB Contact Timing Test (11KV)

    Contact Timing test of VCB ( 11KV) was performed, timing results are as below :

    Contact Timing Test:

    Phase Closing Time Opening Time
    L1 30.3 ms 22.3 ms
    L2 30.5 ms 22.2 ms
    L3 30.8 ms 22.2 ms

    I need to know wheter or not these results are Okay? What is the limit ? Reference Standard??

    Best to look up the manufacture manual it should have open and close and close-open times in it as a general rule of thumb is <50ms for close is good <45ms for open is good and the close-open should be the combination of those two times.

    The manufacture manuals will tell you what the times should be, usually goes by cycles.
