    Insulation resistance test set question

    This is the correct answer. The following answer to this question is being marked as "incorrect".

    Basic Test Equipment
    You examine a test instrument commonly used to measure insulation resistance on equipment rated 600V or lower. The output of the test instrument is 1000 volts and the lead connections are?

    Your Answer: Positive, negative, guard

    Not necessarily. The phrase "commonly used to measure insulation resistance on equipment rated 600V or lower" makes me think the question is referring to a handheld megohmetter, which generally does not include a guard terminal.

    This sounds correct to me given the wording of the question.
