    ARC FLash and Short Circuit Coordination Study

    Hi all

    Can anybody guide me that what data need to be collected from Utility Side and for Each and every equipment in Substation for ARC FLASH and Short Circuit Coordination study and how to fill up the 1584 Sheet ?

    You will have to write a letter and request from the Utility company their short circuit contribution on the electrical system.

    Needed Utility Information:

    1. Three-phase short circuit MVA and X/R ratio at the transformer primary for each incoming service if they are different.

    3-Phase MVAsc _______________

    X/R Ratio __________

    2. Single line-to-ground short circuit MVA and X/R ratio at the transformer primary for each incoming service if they are different.

    SLG MVAsc _______________

    X/R Ratio __________

    3. Nominal, lowest, and highest kV at the point of service during the last 2 years.

    4. Phase Overcurrent Relay for each service:
    Manufacturer and Type:
    CT and Settings:
    (If protective device is fuse, please provide fuse Type and Size.)

    5. Ground Overcurrent Relay for each service:
    Manufacturer and Type:
    CT and Settings:

    6. If there is transformers belonging to utility, please provide following information for each transformer:
    Transformer rating:
    Impedance:
    Type of cooling (OA/FA?)
    Temperature rating (55 C/65 C?)
    Connection type.
